Why we do free evaluations
Every week, people inherit collections they can't judge, and every week someone offers to judge those collections for a fee, or worse, for free with a lowball offer attached. We do it differently: send photos through our form, and within about a business day you get an honest preliminary range, a plain-language note on where the value is, and a recommended next step. No fee, no obligation, and if the right answer is “a specialist auction will pay you more than we will,” that's exactly what we'll say.
Not a certified appraisal, and clear about it
Our evaluation is an experienced dealer's opinion of market value, free of charge. It is not a certified appraisal document for insurance, probate or litigation; when your situation calls for an accredited appraiser, we'll tell you directly. What our written offer does provide, if you choose to sell, is clean itemized paperwork that many families use in the estate file.
Estates welcome, locally in person
Coin and stamp collections usually surface alongside jewellery, silverware and the rest of an estate. We evaluate whole lots in one pass, and within roughly a one-to-two-hour drive of Napanee, Ontario we can often come to you. Anywhere else in Canada, photos and our prepaid insured mail process do the job.
